    Hello fellow geeks,

My video card is NVIDIA Geforce 7800 GTX and I have the latest drivers for this card on my computer, but the "Video Driver Outdated" message appears from Steam (program for playing games). My drivers version is 6.14.10.9424 (as of April 2007). However, according to NVIDIA's website, the date for this exact same version shows the date of May 2007. I downloaded and try installing this driver, but it says the Windows Logos cannot verify that's the correct drivers for this operating system and I chose the right one from Nvidia's website.

I'm running Windows XP Home Edition. I even shut
down my virus program while installing... I dont know what can I do.

Should I re-install my drivers for this video card? I tried re-installing, the same message still appears about Windows Logos does not recognize this and recommends me to STOP INSTALLATION.

    Thank you for your time.

Did you un-install the old driver before installing the new one? Not doing that can cause odd problems.

Use caution if you have an Nvidia based board, and only remove the video card driver.

This site has a good tweak guide for Nividia drivers, among a bunch of other things:

Good luck, and welcome to Major Geeks!
