Video card fan clicks

Whenever I start the computer or wake it up from sleep, the video card fan clicks a little, kind of like it would sound if the blades were just barely hitting a wire or something. After a little while, the time varies, it stops and runs smoothly. I've made sure no wires or anything were hitting it or anything like that... Does it sound serious enough to check it out? If so what do I need to do or look for?

Edit: can't believe I didn't even say what video card it was... It's an EVGA 8800 GT

 

Most of the time when they do some noise in the beginning it mean it's on it's last leg,
it slowly dying you will need to change it soon......

 

I just bought it, brand new....... That better not be the case, or I'm going to be one unhappy person.

I don't know if it matters, but it doesn't do it every time.

I'd call EVGA, if they can't explain the noise, RMA it.

When I said that it's brand new, I meant, it's a recently built system. It's a couple of months old at the most, but it still might be too late to RMA it. I'm not sure, I'll ask whenever I contact them.

they have a lifetime warranty on their 8800's, as do most other manufacturers....you should probably register on the site anyway, for warranty purposes:
