Hi! I'm looking to purchase a new video card as I have a really old one (128mb radeon 9200) I don't have loads of money to spend - maybe around 160 euros (180 dollars). I've been advised to get a PowerColor Radeon 9800 PRO 128MB DDR AGP8X. Can anyone tell me if this is a good idea?? Or any other suggestions? I want to able to play top games close to top performance. My system is excellent in my opinion - XP Pro, 3.0 Ghz Pentium 4, 1gb ram, etc. Thanks!

I have a 9800 PRO 256 and it has done well for me in games. I can play CS:S and the other mods with no problems. I also play CoD and Battlefield till some [bleep] stole some of my games. Some people now will tell you to go for nVidia 6600 GT now at the very least over a 9800 PRO. They start around $150 US http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...ice=&MaxPrice=&SubCategory=48&Submit=Property

but IMO you can't go wrong with either a 9800 PRO or a 6600GT, basically comes down to preference and how avid a gamer you are.
