Video Card Help

I'm not sure which section it falls under, because its hardware+software kind of...any ways I have a eeGeForce 8600 Video Card. I have it working fine.

Now I want to run my tv through my computer. when I used my old video card, I did it with no problems at all. Right now I have a S-Video Cable going from my tv to my computer. I can see my computer screen on my tv, but using different software such as windows movie maker, camtasia, adobe premier pro, all come up saying that they cant see a capture device. I'm sure I am missing something. I have my drivers installed and everything. I looked for options and stuff, but there isn't nothing on it. Any Help would be appreciated.

 

What type of card was the old video card? It may have had TV capture built-in. The little bit of research I've done leads me to believe that you need a video capture adapter of some type.
