Video card offer

Best buy is offering this video card for online purchases AND it comes with Doom3 and FarCry for FREE! Is it a good deal/card? I wouldn't mind getting both those games but I'm not sure if this is "scaled back" version of the card.

... hmmm... is that suggesting its overclocked out of the box? I'd be a bit worried about that. My video ram came with a slight overclock out of the box, but since it has been tested to hell and back I'm confident that its stable at those speeds.

You might want to look further into that model, see what its got to offer. Looks like a good deal to me though

 

I had a thread about the same card not to long back. I guess the card is not scaled back, but rather speeded up. It is overclocked to run faster. Not overclocked much but still overclocked.

IMO it is a good deal. The card by its self was in the price range of 270 -280 in many places. Plus Doom3 and FarCry totals out to 70 - 85 together. I would go for it.

talking about the BFG? the guys over at BFG know what they're doing, and they stand behind their products for life (as long as they're still a company, at least). I've never heard of anything bad about them, so i wouldn't worry about their cards going bad.
