    Greetings, canalguyopen.

That eMachines support isn't very friendly, is it?

Try this: download and run Free PC Audit, a stand-alone system information tool.

(If you get a Security Warning, don't worry about it - uncheck the 'Always ask before opening this file' box, and click 'Run').

When the scan completes, click File > Save As, name the file 'Report', and save to an easily found location, such as your Desktop.

Then attach that file to your next post per these instructions: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post.

With that report, we should be able to figure out what's available.

I also know I need a new power supply and mine is only 250w so I was thinking of this one but also don't know if it fits or will work ect..

The fact that it says ATX has me baffled I don't know what that means or how it plays into what I have or can use..

ATX is the motherboard size... not relevant to adding a video card.

The one thing I will caution you with is that most commercially built computers have minimal power supplies, so adding a graphics card COULD go beyond your current PSU's capability.

I cant find specs on an et1131 anywhere. 1161 i can find, but not 1131.
Regardless, If you are going to add a GPU you will indeed need a PSU with more power. My custom build came with a 500w thermaltake and when I added another internal HD, I went ahead and upgraded to an 850 watt, so I'm covered for even another hardware addition should I decide to do so. 250 watts is pretty weak. Most newer GPU's require connection to the PSU lead, whereas older ones get enough power through the PCIe slot .
Ive got that 500w thermaltake sitting around, It's in a box taking up space .
