Recently, my video card has been overheating. Today was the worst however with Everest showing the temp at 76 degrees celsius or I think 168 degrees F. My CPU's heat is in the 40's normally while playing games and it was showing it was normal while me Videocard was running extremely hot.

I took the heatsink off a few months ago when it was in the upper 60's, cleaned it off and added silver thermal paste to it. It seemed good up until recently. It was still running a little hot, but not what it was showing today. It was in good working temps. I have the case side off and everything is clean inside, no dust or very little. My videocard which is a Geforce FX5200 has only a heastsink and no fan. I have tried running a fan into teh case, but it doesn't seem to do any good. Is there anything else I can do short of replacing the card? I don't have that kind of money right now and would like to stretch this one out until I do.

    Thanks,

edit: just a little more information... while writing this out the temp is sitting at 42 degrees celsius and 108 degrees F. Also, this card is not over clocked.
