I installed a PCI video card on an Abit KD7 motherboard that had an AGP video card previously installed on it. Before the installation of the PCI video card I uninstalled the drivers for the AGP card in Windows 7 and set the PCI as first before AGP on boot in the BIOS. I still get a blank screen - any other ideas? As far as I can tell the motherboard doesn't have jumper setting for disabling the AGP slot.

    Thanks!

Take out your AGP card and your BIOS will auto detect the PCI card. If you need to have both installed try installing it in PCI slot 2 or above.

If it doesnt work with only the PCI card the I think your card is dead

    Edit:

You prob already have it but your user manual can be found here

Yeah I saw that the BIOS automatically detects the interface type in the manual. I have installed in PCI 2 or higher and I still get the blank screen. I guess the card is dead. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

    Thanks!
