I am having a problem with my video cards drivers, I tried to update the drivers on my Gladiac Geforce 2 video card and when I finished downloading the new drivers I erased the old ones first as it said to do that when installing new ones.

When I went to apply the new updates it gave me a "Set up cannot find any compatible Nvidia drivers for your hardware" now I am wondering what to do, as I had an older driver saved on my computer and went to set it back to that one, but then on every boot up it would go to a blue screen.

Should I just find the original drivers on the CD and reinstall the whole thing or has anyone else had this problem as well?

On a final note after I had failed to install the new drivers, I don't even have a display adapters option on my device manager..

You erased your old drivers means what?Did you delete the files or did you uninstall the old drivers first. You are expected to uninstall the drivers and not delete them.Try to reinstall you old drivers, and just update it with your new drivers.

To update your new drivers just goto Control Panel->System->Hardware
->Device Manager-> select your videocard in the list-> right-click and update drivers.

    Heres what I'd do.
    Presuming you have win2000/winXP ...
When booting press the F8 key, and choose VGA mode. Boot up, go to control panel and add/remove programs. Uninstall any instances of NVIDIA/GEFORCE/DETONATOR drivers you find. Restart the machine.
Boot in windows normally and wait for windows to detect your graphics card. Cancel the process the the driver remains uninstalled. Now download and install the Nvidia detonator version 40.41 from Nvidia's site. They are the fastest drivers for your particular card. Everything should be ok after a final restart.
    Hope this helped.

I used the add/remove hardware to delete the older drivers.

Just download and save the newest drivers from Nvidia's site and install them by double clicking on the file. The file has its own installer so you shouldn't have to do it via the Control Panel.
