What would be a good card to move from Ati Radeon 9200 series for and Vaio Rs desktop?

Had a lot of friend ask me this. I'm thinking a 9800pro if money is tight. Not worth shelling out if you can't afford one of these ( try savin rather than buying cheaper). If you have the money, a 6800GT is an excellent card for the price. If feeling foolish and have a shiny new credit card, the 7800GTX is phenomenal and makes me giggle every time I play Battlefield 2.

I have a GigaByte 9600XT Cost me 79.99, upgraded from a PNY GeForce 5200. I can play Battlefield 2 on all high settings (AA off) and at 1024x768 75Hz with like 25-30 fps during a fire fight!!! Great card.. Although it will need to be upgraded in about 6 months, thats the regular upgrade period... for a gamer anyways.

found its worth paying a bit more for a card ( about £200) so I can see the games as they are meant to be played and selling it afte a year for£100 and upgrading again. If you always choose the cheapest solution your pc is always going to strugle and will cost you about £100 a year as you have to upgrade to keep em playable and they look rubbish....Go on treat yourself....you deserve it :)
