Hey, I'm about to buy a better video card for my computer. I am most likely going to buy this one but I am not sure if it will work with my computer or not. So here is my question: Can you tell me if this will work? I don't want to buy it off of the internet and have it not work. If it won't work, is there any other decent video cards that would work with my system? Thanks a lot.
Err, sorry. Let me change the filesize of my system specs first.

Afraid not, you only have pci slots, no agp port so that card won't fit I'm afraid.
You'll have to look at a pci graphics card or a new motherboard, which might mean new processor.....

Ok, well this one is another that I was looking at. I'm definitely not an expert at this but do you think that it would run games well such as Halo for the PC?

The Aida32 report you attached specifies that you DO have an AGP 4 x slot, so you should be OK.

You should really use Everest, as Aida is no longer supported and is replaced by it.

Download it and double-check to see if you have an AGP slot.

Also, there are much better cards available.

Look for a 6600 GT (not just a 6600), or if you can afford it, a 6800, although with your processor a 6600 GT might be just as good.

Some more system RAM would also be a big improvement.

    FreshDiagnose is another good one.

If you're going to upgrade cards, I'd say your first instinct of Radeon is a good one, but get the most powerful one you can lay hands on if you're playing FPS games. Frame rate is life there.

Hmm, well that is some good news. Is there any favorites that you people have? Preferrably under 170$, you guys seem to know a lot in this subject.

In my post #4 I recommended some chips.

What do you mainly use the PC for?

And double-check you have an AGP slot using Everest as I suggested.

Yea, I used the Everest program and it said
so it should support it. Yea, I took a look at those models too, they seem pretty nice. I mainly use the computer for gaming, school work, and just things like AIM and websurfing. I'm going to buy 256 MB of RAM too.

With your processor, it's hard to choose between a 6600 GT or a 6800, and which would be better.

Both are great chips and can play any current games.

The 6800 is better than the 6600 GT, but it also costs more. If the cost isn't an issue, I'd go for the 6800.

My personal favourite brand is BFG, but I don't know if it's in your price range.

Failing that, there are heaps of great brands, and the difference usually isn't all that great.

Look at the software bundles included as they can be substainial.

BTW, extra RAM is a good move.
