video card upgrade question

I would recently tried out the online Lord of The Rings game and think I liked it but it was kinda hard to tell cause my graphics sucked..lol. How would I go about upgrading the video card on my computer? What do I need to know and which would be good to get and how hard are they to install?

Keep in mind I am not that knowledable about the inside of my computer but I am not afraid to open the case.

First off you need to find out what type of expansion slot you have in your computer? Whether or not it's an AGP or a PCI express slot. Then find a video card that you like. Personally I think that Nvidia makes the best video cards, i would look around the 7 series. Should be more than powerful enough to play lord of the rings and a lot more. Then it's really easy to install. Just unscrew the metal piece in the back of your case holding the video card in. Unplug the old one, and plug the new one in. Look around because you might have to plug in an extra connector somewhere, if it's a new series video look for a molex connector. Which will be just a connector that looks like the white capped wires running from your power supply. and you're all set. install the drivers for it, and you should be good to go.

ok.. so i have pci slot..now is there anything else I need to know before purchasing a new card?
