video card

My specs are below. As you can see I have a nvidea 6200 turbo cache card. I do not have a pci express slot. Is there a pci card or agp card that would improve my performance noticeably or would I be wasting money trying to do that in this computer? I think I would like to stay with nvidea.

Your nvidea 6200 is onboard/integrated, right? Do you have an AGP slot?

 

We need to know model # of gateway (usually listed on the case somewhere) to see if an agp card is even feasable.

 

It is an fx 400 gateway. I'm not sure about the agp slot but I know it has a pci but not pci express. The 6200 card is plugged into the pci slot.

I just checked again with everest and it says I DO have pci express

So does http://support.gateway.com/s/PC/FX400/1008490/1008490sp3.shtml, assuming your model is fx400x. Is it?

The above link confirms you have a PCI-E slot and it lists three cards as an option. I don't know why it would list specific PCI-E cards. I would think many other PCI-E cards would work, but, unless you can confirm that, I guess you'd better choose one of the three listed.
