ok i have asylum geforce fx 256mb 5200 which basically when you install drivers shows thats its a 5500...

what i was wondering is i wanted to mod the card and add and heatsink and another fan on top part of the card...if you you silver epoxy will it mess the card up when i sit the heatsink down on it....any feedback would be appreicated

i wouldn't use thermal glue unless it was absolutely necessary ... and there's no need to glue any HSF to the core of a video card as they have plenty of good ones that you can use normal artic silver on

no it shouldn't ruin the card by doing so, but i agree with Pyrate that you should look into a 'mountable' HSF instead, and then use a simple thermal paste like AS5 for best results.

This way you dont have to worry about the fan ever falling off.
