Video CARD?

is the ATI Radeon 9800 pro 128mb. better than the ATI Radeon X700 256mb 4X AGP card?

 

i would say no just by looking at the 128mb vs. the 256. regardless of the card. but yes the x700 pro would be better.

i extra side not though...last time i checked the x700 was a pcie card only, where as the 9800 is agp only. i would check which one your mobo takes. and if your getting a new motherboard, then get the pcie because thats the future for gpx cards. in a few months or so agp will be long forgotten.

 

i already have the x700 AGP card. oh, and i need help upgrading my motherboard, how do i do so?

 

you dont upgrade your mobo, you buy a new one, and upgrade parts. if you use amd, i would suggest you get a mobo with socket 939, and pcie. like i said, agp will soon be forgoten.

a good suggestion for a mobo would be either asus, or dfi. my personal fav would ovecoarse be dfi. but its up to you. many overclockers prefer dfi over asus because its much much easier to overclock with.
