Video Card

I am looking for pci express card to play doom 3 and video editing. Any help would be great

 

Is there a budget?

 

trying not to spend over 300 bucks

There are so many out there, just really matters on how much your gonna spend.

I'm not a huge fan of Albatron, but $305 for a 7800GT is pretty good I have to admit.

Especially considering you get a $15 rebate from Albatron if you buy before the 30th.

 

what are thoughts about PNY geforce 78ooGT? Are the ones you guys suggested better than this? My friend been telling me that PNY is the way to go.

 

Depends how much you can get it for.

There isn't a great deal of difference between cards as they use nVidia reference design.

I'd be more concerned with the price, what connectors and cables it has, as well as any bundled software.

I agree with Psycho on this one. Insomniac, you were right on with the 7800GT suggestion but I have more faith in eVGA than Albatron.

 

I never suggested the Albatron, I said I'm not a huge fan but that it was a good price.
