    hello guys
    my system is as follows
    motherboard k7s8xe+
    amd athlon2800+
    seagate barracouda 80gig hard drive
    1 gig ddr ram
    microsoft windows xp professional version2002

i have just installed a new agp graphics card {Geforce 6600gt} downloaded the latest drivers from nvidia and updated, also i have flashed the bios to the last version they did for my motherboard . yet whan i go into control panel, then display, then settings, then advanced and click on Geforce 6600 it list on my graphics card information as bus pci express x16 , how do i change this to say agp x8 and does it matter what this says in the bios it is set to agp.
    many thanks pap

I would imagine (although I could be wrong) that your video card was initially designed as a PCI-e card, and therefore, it has this in its hardware identification strings. Running a system info utility such as EVEREST would confirm this suspicion. If this is the case, I wouldn't worry about it because it won't do any harm, and there is little you can do about it, save flashing the video BIOS.
