Hi everyone. I have two harddrives installed in my PC. The primary hd has Windows XP on it. The second hd has Windows 7 32 bit installed. I would like to buy a video card that is compatible and functions on both operating systems. The video card--Nvidia FX 5200 --works find on Windows XP, but for some reason will not work correctly on Windows 7. I have updated the driver, etc. Hence, I need a new video card. Any help will be appreciated. maryhigginsrice

Is that video card an AGP version or PCI Express?

It is a PCI card. I am sorry. I should of mentioned that important component.

usafveteran, I would like you another question. In my post you read that I have Windows 7 RC! 32 bit installed on my 2nd hd. I am trying to get media center to work. I have downloaded the updated drivers and attached the cable wire to the Hauppauge tv tuner. Unfortunately, it still says that there is no tv signal. The hauppauge tv tuner works well in Windows XP, but will not function in Windows 7. Can you help me with this problem. Thank you. maryhigginsrice

You need to mention your model to see if a Win 7 driver is available for the tv tuner.

May I ask why you are using RC rather than win 7 final?

You do know that RC will cease to work sometime next year and you can not upgrade from RC to final.

What happens with Win 7? I'm using Win 7 RC and initially had an AGP version of an FX 5200 with 128MB of memory on the card. That ran Win 7's Aero, although the Windows Experience Index for Graphics was only 2.0. Still, it worked. How much memory does your card have?

When you downloaded the driver, you got the one shown on the website for Windows 7, right?

As far as upgrading, I believe you could get an PCI Express card, although I'm not absolutely sure what expansion slots your motherboards has.
