Video Cards

Im looking for a good gaming video card under 300$ Im thinking of purchasing a Radeon X800 XL 256 MB AGP but dont know if this is the best gaming video card out there so help

Some people are ATI fans, some are nvidia. I'm a big nvidia fan, though at one time I was big into agi, before that it was 3dfx....

I have the X800XL PCI-E. Specifically, I have the MSI version and I think it was around $290 shipped on Newegg. Whoa. Counter Strike: Source looks freaking awesome. I run it with everything turned all the way up, including AA.

I am looking into getting the Arctic Cooling ATI Silencer Rev. 5 to put on it, but I wonder if for $40 it will actually make a noticeable difference. I don't experience any heat-related problems whatsoever, it is just fun to me to try and keep my system chilled.

What is this ATI tool that I always hear about that will allow you to check the temp of the card itself? Right now I have my mobo utility that only tells system temp and CPU temp... What exactly defines the system temp? Is that the overall temperature in the case?

 

Yeah Im a fan of ATI cards..btw..thanks I found the card I posted above, for about 276$/s&h I think I may get this unless there are any other good ATI cards better then the X800 XL
