Video Choppy when using HDMI out

I have an Asus N61V running Windows 7 x64. I use the HDMI out to play video on a 42" flatscreen, which has worked perfectly until recently. Now, for some reason, the video has become wicked choppy on the flatscreen. It's fine on my laptop display though. Nothing that I am aware of has changed in my settings, and I've tried reinstalling the Nvidia driver, but nothing. Anybody ever come across this? It's weird cause it's worked perfectly for the last 6 months or so...

Alright... check this out. When I drop the resolution from 1366 x 768 down to 1280 x 720 it seems to get rid of most of the choppiness, but then the image is a little messed up.... Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Is it possible to use a different resolution for each display? I messed around in the Nvidia Control Panel but couldn't find anything. And how would the refresh rate affect it? It's currently set to 30Hz, I bumped it up to 60Hz but it seemed to get choppier. Also, I should have mentioned, I'm using an Nvidia GeForce GT 240M.

Go to NVIDIA's website and be sure you have the latest drivers. Windows Update doesn't always catch or install them.

You might also want to check the owner's manual for your TV to see if it has any tips on what PC video settings work best with it.

    Hope this helps. :)
