video codec problem

avi and mpeg files will not play... they ether will not play at all or only sound plays so i installed k-lite mega codec pack and played them in media player classic and i get this error for some of them

also avi will play in winamp but i get lines in the video (like synchoronize video is not on) and high cpu usage

in winamp mpg will play but i have to open the video window myself (also get lines in full screen or anythign above 1x video res)

one more thing

the bigger the video on sceen the more cpu usage (as small as i can get it about 160x100 uses 50% cpu) and that is probly why i get line in video on full screen

 

FIX

i uninstalled all codecs divx, avivo codecs (came with graphics card i just got)

i also uninstalled anything on my computer that had to do with media like winamp and dell media experiance

 

In its installation instructions, K-lite says:

Now you know why.

 

didn't it use to auto uninstall the other codecs? at least i know it use too
