Does anyone know of software that will couple video files together.? For example if a video comes as part a and part b it will be able to tie the two together as one file.

    thanks

Yep. A program called VirtualDub will do that and much more. I'll link you to where you can download the program. VirtualDub does not install on your computer, it comes in a zip file that you can extract to anywhere on your machine. It's a small file/program and is totally free.

To connect to two files and make one you they have to have the same audio and video codecs - a codec is the form in which the video was made, like mp3 for audio and Xvid for video.

I'll guide you through the process:
Open VirtualDub, click FILE at the top, then the OPEN VIDEO FILE... button to select the first of the two files you want to mrerge, then click on the APPEND AVI SEGMENT... option and choose the second of the two files you want to merge. Now click on the VIDEO option at the top, then choose DIRECT STREAM COPY. Then click FILE at the top and then click SAVE AS and you're done.

That should work. I do it all the time. Let me know how it turns out.
