video cutter/edit program.?

i capture to shows via tv tuner card then convert them to XviD can anyone point me to a program that will allow me to cut out and or edit all the commercials and unwanted footage.? i also capture all my vhs tapes and need it for this as well. Thanks for any help. oh, i need to edit the XviD format. (win xp)

 

I suspect any editing software will do this. I use Roxio's Easy CD Creator 6. It's slow though, but it does work.

I've used a Pinnicle product that didn't work, was buggy to boot. Don't remember it's name, but I avoid all Pinnicle software because of it.

Opps, just reread your post, I don't know if Roxio will do it or not. I tend to aim for MP2 files.
