I have installed Half-Life 2 and I have been terying to play it, but it says: Your video driver appears to be out of date and could cause problems if you choose to continue and run the game. We recommend that you follow the link below and update your video driver to the latest version possible. I click on the link, and it takes me to: http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

The only problem is that I dont know which thing to download to update my video driver. My type is nvidia GeForce4 Ti 4600. Any help would be appreciated

    Welcome to MajorGeeks.

You don't necessarily have to update the driver, it's up to you.

You can try to run the game and see if it plays OK.

The warning you got is just a standard message.

STEAM tells me the same thing all the time. I'm content with my current drivers since all my games run fine. I've learned to save the file incase I experiance problems with the new (supposedly better) versions.
