I want to edit several video files. They are all wmv files.

All I want to do is take out small sections like the first/last minute. And then as a secondary option to put several of the edited files together as one movie.

I have looked at several of the expensive video programs but I don't want to make a pro dvd and to be honest, most of them are just too complicated.

All I want to do is cut and save.

Are there any programs you know that would fit what I want to do?

I don't do a lot with WMV, but you could try http://www.doom9.org/ . It has lots of info on video editing and other things. There is Microsoft's Moviemaker, which works with WMVs. Mine came with XP, but it must be available on Microsoft's site.

You can try VirtualDub, but I think that even with VirtualDubMod (a popular extention pack) that it doesn't support .wmv anymore (or doesn't support the most recent versions of .wmv).

    You can also try:
MS Movie Maker 2 for WinXP

I downloaded Moviemaker and it worked great. Thanks for the reminder about that program.
