Can someone direct me to a website that helps with video editing? More specific, the diffrences between saving an old anlog vhs - c tape to your hard drive in mpeg forma. When I convert this to a avi file (dvd), do I lose quility? Or should I save the original file to a avi file? The reason I am savving my old movies to a mpeg format is because it saves a ton of hard drive space. But on the other hand, I do no want to lose any quility when I burn them into a dvd.
By the way, I am using pinnacle v9 plus.

    Can anyone help,

    Thanks a ton,

    Cob

DVDs are recorded in MPEG 2 format, if you convert them to AVI format you will lose some quality when you burn to DVD. Save them in MPEG 2 format.
