Video Magician tv tuner won't work :(

I bought a Video Magician TV Tuner card w/ breakout box & it won't display any channels.

Here are my particulars:

AMD Athlon 64 w/ 768 MB ram

Windows XP Pro SP2

149 GB hard drive

Radeon 9550 vid card w/ 256 MB

Audigy 2 sound card

I have my cable hooked up, have the PowerVCRII software configured for our American cable.

I've updated all my drivers (including the V-Stream TV883DVR-PROII tuner card driver).

It seems to "find" the channels when I have it auto scan for them, but no vid.

Make sure you have selected the correct source in options. I'm not familiar with your software, but the source should be set to video tuner, antenna or cable or so.

Also make sure the capture card is selected in the device options.

 

Thx, Pyrate, but I already have those suggestions you made as defaults. I even tried plugging in our Playstation 2 to the breakout box audio and video in, and selecting that as the video source, but still not video - just a black screen.
