Video Options?? Need answered ASAP!!!

Ok so I have an integrated 6100 graphics card on an ASrock mobo.....it runs really well for integrated....REALLY well actually (but still only integrated)....i play F.E.A.R, Doom 3 and Guild wars on it at mostly medium settings. I have a friend upgrading his card to a 7900 and offered to sell me his HIS X1300 256MB card with the giant IceQ cooler on it (this exact model - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814161001)

Do you think that it is worth 45 dollars?? I've heard that the X1300's are kinda crap, but it should blow my integrated away shouldnt it?? I wont be upgrading again until after vista's release, but will this boost my performance pretty drastically do you think?? I am a lover of "eye candy" but cant afford the extra $$$ for a true beast gaming card.

Heres my specs if you think it will help

Asrock 939 mobo
1 GB XMS Ram at 2-2-2-5 1T
Athlon 64 3000+ Venice at 2.2Ghz (can get it stable to about 2.5 or even 2.6 with a standalone video card)

Please help quickly as he will sell the card on ebay this afternoon if i dont want it!!

 

it's a good deal, but the card only has 4 pixel pipelines. you'll probably see about the same results as your current integrated gpu with maybe a little bit better graphics. the point is, if you buy it you're still gonna be playing at the same settings so if it's worth it in your opinion buy it, it is a good deal, but i wouldn't buy it if you think it's gonna allow you to play games at higher video settings. just my opinion though.

 

Id go for it, its definitely worth $45 but not much more lol. Even if you decide to upgrade later, the cooler would be a good thing to save to put on a new card
