Video Problems with Madden NFL 2004

Ok guys, I need some help/advice and a buddy of mine told me this might be the place to find it. So here goes.

My System Specs:

AMD Athlon XP 2400+ (2Ghz)
768MB DDR333 RAM
1x120GB Seagate Barracuda 8MB Cache HDD
2x40GB Western Digital 2MB Cached HDD Striped RAID-0
GeForce FX 5600 Ultra (128MB DDR) 400Mhz Core clock/800Mhz Effective DDR memory clock.

Madden is installed on the 120GB Drive. I have updated it to no end.

I have installed the latest nVidia ForceWare drivers (56.72)

My problem is when I load up madden, and I go into the player editing screen, I get this:

Although it doesn't appear to be a major issue that prevents me from playing the game, the presence of those little triangle/trapezoidal shapes isn't pretty and it has recently become an annoyance. I don't know how long it's been doing this, I just realized it the other day when I went into the player editing screen to change the helmet type of the player & add a visor to his helmet. I've tried adjusting every setting within the game. I've taken Antialiasing & Ansiotropic settings down to Off. Anyone know what might be causing this or the steps I can take to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

have you tried using a later driver version? with bf1942 and ati 4.2 cat drivers, it would cause that "feature". also, try uninstalling your drivers and reinstalling them to see if it clears it up.
