No video with WinXP machine. Video was on motherboard. Installed new AGP card, still no video. Monitor checked ok.

I know setup is configured for onboard video but I thought a modern OS like
WinXP would detect it. I can't change it manualy because I can't see the monitor. Do you think if I installed a pci video card it would be detected?
    Any advice for me?

    Thanks,

    Doug

is your plug and play enabled in the bios? If thats not the problem, double check your connection b/w the monitor cable and the video card...make sure its tite and secure on the mobo. Has it worked before or has it never worked?

I don't know if it is or not since I can't see it. Previously, the video worked fine. But it was onboard video (supplied by the motherboard). I tried a different monitor that is known to be good. I purchased a Radeon Stealth AGP card and installed it.

I wasn't able to switch configuration in setup because can't see.

I just found the motherboard is ECS L7VMM2. I'm searching for jumpers to turn onboard video off.

Used Microscope POST card and get the dreaded AA, so will have to get a new motherboard and CPU.

    Thanks for your help,

    Doug
