video/tv question?

how do u hook up ur comp. to ur tv? i have the ati radeon x800xl agp card. and was wondering how u do it. plz help!

 

whats the blue, red, and green wires for? and whats the 2 yellow ones with 2-black s-video's for?

 

Does your version have a TV out or S-video out? For the price, I'm sure it came with some sort of info or book... did you read it?

well all of my video is hooked up to my yamaha natural sound av reciever HTR-5730. so how would i hook it up to that, becuz it doesnt need to be hooked up to the t.v but to the surround sound reciever.

 

You didn't ask how to hook it up to your Receiver.... you asked how to hook it up to your TV.

If our Yamaha Rcvr does not support S-Video as an input then you'll have to find an adapter/splitter.

 

Stop. Take a deep breath. Now, does it have an S-Video output? Does your TV have an S-Video in put? It's a round port, with several pins in it, and should look the same on both the card and TV. Yes? Good, just grab a cable and plug one end into each.

If only on the Card, then does your TV have a A/V jack?? You can get an adapter to go from the S-Video to the Video jack.

 

well i got 2 cables, 1 cable has an S-VIDEO jack and off of that runs4 other wires, 2 are S-Video recievers and the other 2 are just yellow wires.

and in the other cable has an S-Video on one end, and off of that has 3 wires, one red, one blue and one green, and no my t/v nor reciever has s-video, so can sum help tell me what both 2 cables do?
