I'm looking to spend under $100 for a video card. It'll be used for games on occasion, but mainly used for videos, movies and just regular internet browsing. I would like something in HD as well, but I'm assuming that everything is in HD nowadays.

My computer is fairly new so it has all the requirements necessary for an average Card. Also, I need a PCI VideoCard.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

    Hi

What is the brand and model of your computer?

The computer was built for me so it's not a particular model.

I have a ASUS P4P800 SE motherboard. Intel Pentium 4. That's all I really know.

I don't play gamesoften, it would be nice to have a Card that would work if needed. A game maybe like Call of Duty..

Ok, that motherboard has an AGP slot, not PCIe, so you will need an AGP card.

I believe this motherboard also has a AGP slot as well.

Like I said....I'm not a huge gamer I'm just looking for the best Card for under $100....

Your only real option for an AGP card is an ATI 4650. Newegg.com has a few different cards that vary in price, $75 to just above $100. Just be sure you find one with the AGP interface instead of the more common PCIe cards.

Here is a copy of a review with some helpful tips.....

This board comes with an AGP (Accelerated Graphics Processor) socket, in this socket goes the video board. This board will support video cards that are 8x AGP compatible, but it will also support 4x AGP video cards. So when it comes to choosing this board to upgrade an older machine you maybe looking at having to upgrade your video card like I did. This board is designed to be used with AGP video cards that use 1.5V and .8V it won't work with any other cards that are 3.3V. So be very careful and remember to ask about the video card you are about to purchase to make sure that it is a 1.5V or .8V video card. I chose an Gigabyte Radeon 9200 SE Graphics adapter to handle the video in this specific machine.

I'm not sure what minimum Ampage you require on your 12 volt rail maybe someone else can pick up on that issue but it must be low for an AGP of this size.

AGP is an aging technology, you would probably be better picking up a cheap second hand MB that is pci-e capable, but if thats not possible then get the 4650 as above.
