videos buffer every few seconds on Vista

I like2 play music vidz while I am working late.

Trouble is my work PC is Vista and, no matter what site I am on, YouTube, DailyMo etc, ......
the videos stop to buffer every few seconds.

At home, on Windows XP, there is no problem. Vidz play just fine.

What is my issue please.

It ain't life-threatening except I'm on the point of threatening the life of my work PC.

Are the videos played from the internet/network or from a HDD directly connected to the PC?

 

Buffering from streaming sites is likely a bandwidth problem .

 

I second this.

Probably high network traffic OR some services (apps) in the background that are using your internet bandwidth for downloads/updates etc.
