Videos wont play

Ok, I went to watch a video today and it wouldn't it just froze the browser (FF) so I figured it was a bad link and clicked on another, again it froze. So I tried Chrome, different links and THAT froze, tried it a couple more times and still froze every time. Finally, I tried IE and several different links and what do you know.. that one froze too!! rolleyes The only way to get the browsers to close was through task manager and it won't play ANY video on ANY video site.

I haven't updated anything, installed anything and it was working just fine yesterday.

I'm really getting frustrated with this thing. If someone could please offer some suggestions, I'd be really appreciative! please please please before I toss it out the window!! :-D

 

Ok, updating Java solved the problem. Although, I'm not sure what could have happened between last night and now to make it stop working all of a sudden :confused
