   I have the entire 5th season of the TV show Alias in RealPlayer (RMVB ) format. I would like to burn these files to DVD in a format that can be viewed on TV. Do I need software that will convert the files from RMVB format to some other format? I'm a real newbie at this, so any help will be greatly appreciated.

   Yes, you will. It is highly unlikely that your DVD player reads Real Media files.
