Virtual Drive Problem--please help!

    hi. I've been having problems with my virtual drive. whenever I mount an image, game or normal dvd, there appears to be random skipping. I don't understand what could be causing this. I've tried both alcohol and daemon tools; both do the same thing. anyone know how to fix this problem? by the way, I'm using windows xp with a 3 gigahertz dual-processor and 1 gig ram...

    random skipping? i don't understand your problem? what is it doing?

    it skips almost as if I were playing a scratched dvd.

    where did you get the image from? if you made it off of your own dvd/cd then that disc might be scratched...

    Yea I would try reimaging it if you have the disc if not try imaging a disc you own and see if you still have the same problem.

    yeah, I made the disc image myself. I didn't get any sector errors when making the image though. I was thinking that the disc might have been scratched as well, but it has happened with many other disc images.
