I'm using MS Virtual CD-ROM, it did not speed up how my game loads, but it does make it convient. I tried using 100xcd, but it won't work with my virtual drive. What do you think is the best virtual drive software? I'm assuming the faster the better.

It won't really speed up your game, since almost all games just run a check at the beginning of the game to make sure you have a copy of the CD/DVD to prevent people from installing games on multiple pc's. It's more of an anti-piracy issue. That is why you might have seen some no-cd images (not sure of the legality of these things though :-S) that are very small, because the game does not actually use data from the disc.

The installation might go marginally faster I suppose. Either way, for mounting images the best software is either DAEMON tools or Alcohol 120% in my opinion.

Yeah, my particularly game (CSI:DM) was a full install, the only file needed was a small 329kb file, so the virtual drive did not help. However, I have seen it work on games that are largely run from a CD like Tomb Raider Gold.
