I am running Windows XP Pro Edition and when I have several windows open it keeps giving me a message saying my Virtual Memory is low and Windows is having to increase it. I have it set to be computer managed and it is using 374 MB, should I manually set it to something else to prevent this from happening everytime I open multiple windows at once?

How much physical ram do you have, 128, 192?

I'd install more ram into your computer.

    I'd guess tannertornadoes has 256megs installed. (256 x 1.5 = 384).
Certainly more RAM is the best solution, then reset Virtual Memory to a fixed size.
Use 1.5 times RAM as the initial setting.
If over 1 gig installed, then nowhere near 1.5 times RAM is required.
I have 1.256 gigs of RAM and VM of 500megs and it is never exceeded (for my method of operation). Bazza
