virtual memory

    i heard you can make your hard drive act as more ram so im trying it out but im not sure what to put...

    i changed it to this http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=125188

    i think 4096 is max, but im not sure what to put on initial because i dunno what that is


    what am i supposed to do? :mad:

    Well, how much actual RAM do you have in your computer right now? Sure, you can use virtual memory on the hard drive, but it's very slow compared to real RAM. You already have 2 gigs allocated to use as a paging file, which is huge...going to 4 gigs isn't going to give you anything. RAM is cheap, upgrade that instead.

    i have 768mb of ram right now

    i play a lot of games so i figured more cant be bad

    Does anyone know what initial size means?
