I'm trying to setup a virtual Wi-Fi adapter on my system and when i enter the command "netsh wlan show drivers" I keep getting the message that there is no wireless interface on the system, which is very strange,as I can allow multiple phones and devices in the house to use my internet connection. so is there a way I can set-up a wireless interface on my system? Or am I screwed basically? I did look for intel for current versions of my Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit Network Connection drivers and I couldn't seem to find one that gave me this..

Does the system have a wifi adapter? I didn't see that it did in the 2 text files you posted. Most Windows 7 desktop PCs did not come with wireless cards. Did you install an aftermarket card?

    This is wired, not wifi.
This thread points to a driver

When I followed the link, 82579V is not shown and yet the person said that is the driver he/she uses. Since you have no driver as loaded, you can see if this works.

I can't use those as they are you Windows 10 only and I haven't gotten around to updating yet,as I'm still working out how to transfer all my files over without loosing anything. And yes I realized after I purchased my new Netgear ac1900 that it required a network card, but I though that my modem had a network card, which it does, but just not the needed network adapter to set everything up. Ethernet just doesn't work for this.

You simply need a USB wireless adapter. The other devices are connecting via your router /modem, not via the PC.

That's very good but the VPN service I'm using has a guide for setting up such a thing as long as the computer in question has hosted network support.

Please ignore this. I had not realised that you have a second thread in Hardware - bad idea!! - in which you explain what you are trying to do. A wireless adapter won't enable you to send your screen to a TV.

I'm not trying to send my screen to a TV. My computer already connects to a TV,so I'm. trying to setup my PC's already existing connection to a VPN which I can then send to the TV via the existing connection, using a wi-fi hotspot. I think I have everything I need to do it,as both the VPN company and the company that sold me my hardware have confirmed that it can be done, but I need to set-up a wireless connection to share it first, which means I need a usb wi-fi adapter to set everything up.
