    Hi, welcome to Major Geeks

What version of Windows are you using?

What type of connection does the burner use? USB?

    Hi

    Please try the following:

Go to your Device Manager (via the Control Panel). If you have trouble with this, see this link:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windowsxp/ht/accessdmcpnxp.htm

Next, EXPAND Universal Serial Bus Controllers (should be at the bottom) by clicking the Plus button.

Are there any yellow marks? Especially that seem to be your burner device?

If so, right click that particular one, and select Uninstall Drivers (make sure the burner is NOT connected).

Then, shut down the computer completely, and boot it up again. Once Windows has fully loaded, connect the burner again, and allow the device drivers to install.

A reboot MAY be required after the drivers install in order for the device to function again.

    I hope this helps...
