virus keeps returning

hi guys

i am currently running win xp and have AVG and adaware software installed and totally up to date. the problem is that everytime i open internet explorer i get the 4 viruses, these bare downloader.agent and backdoor.small. they are all located on the c:windows file. i keep running AVG and sometimes it does remove but they keep coming back. any help would be really great. thanks

If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.

 

i have tried to run the trend micro scan but pc keeps saying internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close

i am having problems running the trend scan it stops when downloading the java program, and i keep getting more and more viruses.
