Hello! I've been fighting with a virus for the last few days, and after paving my system, I've gotten rid of it at last. Problem is, I think it's on one or more of my external HDs, too.

I was hoping someone could tell me: Is there anyway to scan them for viruses, without risking infecting my C drive again? At things stand, I'm afraid to plug them back in.

Thank you for any help. =)

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Are you sure that your PC is really clean now?

Before plugging in your external drive, make sure that you have disabled autoruns and then fully scan the external drive with your antivirus progam, antispyware program, and at least one online scanner like the ones mention in the below link:

Thanks so much for the tips. I turned off the autorun and I'm plugging them in one at a time and scanning with Avast, Spybot, and HouseCall. Doing the same for all my jumpdrives, too. =)

Spybot is not that effective. I suggest that you use Malwarebytes or SUPERAntiSpyware.
