hi. i am having a whole lot of problems with my system that can't really be fixed, but no other system is available.
can anyone tell me what (preferably free) a-v and firewall, etc. type programs are the best, most reliable and use the least amount of system resources?
    System specs:
Pentium II, 450 mhz, 256 mb ram
    Intel Seattle2 mobo
Win 98 OS - modified with a LiteStep shell build.
    Thanks in advance peoples.

You're in luck my friend... what you're asking is probably one of Majorgeek's specialties.

For the best in free security, I recommend you visit the how to protect yourself from malware thread.

This will show you how to setup redundant virus and spyware scanning, all for free.

    Enjoy!
