Virus Protection..

    Ok Since this is a new computer and all Id like to know should I even bother installing norton ec... if theres a better virus software out there let me know please so I can get it cause nortons getting old.

    agreed MA .... Avast free is a good option for AV


    but also do checkout the guides on AV and Spyware in the FAQ's section http://forums.majorgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=33 as well as using Avast ... also use every few weeks or so one of the Online AV scans eg. Trends Housecall ... plus a² http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4281.html is a good complimentry trojan, dialer, & keeylogger finder to run along side your AV.

    My freind Luke said you guys have helped him alot over the last 4 months so You guys can help me since this is my new system and all I am just gonna ask all you smart people before I do something stupid. So ill try your spyware stuff out because the pc downstairs has spyware and the one before that did to. Only mostly because my brother downloaded all kinds of songs so I dont want spyware on this one. So thx's cool smart guys...
