   I am trying to find a virus software that can be put on floppy or CD to scan a computer from dos mode or on startup before actually getting into windows.especially if you get a boot virus any ideas? other than Norton's I know it has startup disks but I don't like Norton's

   I think most would have a recovery floppy that can be created to boot from. AVG has one but it does not work on NTFS file systems.
