    Hi everyone,

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this since it is my first posting.

Last night I was downloading the program ChrisTV Online!. When it got to the end of the download my anti-virus popped up and stopped the last of the download saying that there were multiple threats.

So I tried it again to see if maybe it was just a glitch but the exact samething happened again. My anti-virus is a fully updated ESET NOD32 4.2.67.10 Database 5805.

So I am not sure how you want to handle this matter. Do you want me to send the threat for you guys to look at or just delete it and let you handle things from there.

Thanks for your attention to this problem.

    Hi and welcome.:)

Depending on where you downloaded the show from, it's quite possible the dl contained a virus.

Hopefully, your AV stopped it from installing completely. Have you run a full scan since NOD32 stopped it? Do you use an Anti-malware program such as Superantispyware or Malwarebytes? If you don't, you might want to also download one or both of those (they are free if you only use them to scan) and run a complete scan to make sure.

If you do think you are infected and want Major Geeks to help you clean your computer, you'll have to run through our entire malware removal procedure: READ & RUN ME FIRST Malware Removal Guide (incl. spyware, virus, trojan, hijacker)

The log you have from Eset won't help here as far as helping you clean your machine.

    Hi Laura,

Thank you for the prompt response. I guess wasn't clear enough with where I d/l'd the file from. I downloaded it from Major Geeks. You guys are the only place I trust to have clean programs for download.

The software I was trying to download was never completed. Eset blocked the download before it could finish downloading.

So no problem there. I was just writing to let you folks know that there is a program that is listed as having multiple threats in the download process.

    P.S. Thank you the hello:)

I know Major Geeks strides to have the safest and run all scans on products before putting them up on the site for others to download. People have come posting about false positives before. I know that someone will look into it as well. But thanks for the heads up..:wave
