Okay I am completing a fresh build and have the following:

Gigabyte Motherboard: GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel
    Intel

    Intel Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor

    8MB of Corsair Memory:
    2 of the CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory. So four 2GB memory sticks are installed.

    Seagate SATA 1TB Drive - ST310005N1A1AS-RK

The drive is recognized in the BIOS settings. I got to install Vista 64 bit and it needs the SATA drivers. I try the SATA drivers provided by gigabyte and the HD is still not recognized! This is driving me crazy! (pun intended).

    Any ideas people?
