vista 64 boot issues

just got done removing malware with a rescue disk (7-secure) . i used this method because windows wouldnt boot at all...

now with the malware gone - when i boot all i have is a backround screen and a mouse cursor. same for safe mode and normal mode. cannot summon task manager with ctrl alt del, and i dont have a windows disk.... its an hp with a partition specifically for recovery, but that is either out of order, or i dont know how to use it.
