   Can I install Microsoft Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003 (marked Windows 2000 and XP compatible) on a new Vista laptop

   Yes Office 2003 will work ok with Vista, used to have Office 2003 Enterprise installed on my Vista laptop, had no issues.
   
   Main issue some and I just mean some hit is the EULA licence aggrement starts on each run of office but this is fix IF that happens http://support.microsoft.com/kb/884202/en-us if it doesnt happen then dont change anything,
